We are happy to share that Dr. Minu Agarwal, Adjunct Assistant Professor at CEPT University, recently conducted a groundbreaking study on the critical issue of #lightpollution at the Kensville Golf and Country Club. The observations revealed that in today's polluted cities, the dark sky has become nearly invisible, obscured by the overwhelming presence of artificial lights. However, the pristine environment of Kensville Golf and Country Club paints a different picture, illuminating the night sky with its pollution-free conditions. The event served as a poignant reminder of the detrimental effects of light pollution on our ecosystems, wildlife, and human well-being. As a sustainability consultant, we recommend the following measures to address the growing issue of light pollution: - Minimize upward-facing external lighting. - Limit the lighting power densities to a maximum of 2W/sq.m for 50% of the building facade. I am glad to share that QCI's IndG.A.P. initiative was launched today for the state of Andhra Pradesh in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of the state, Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy (@ysjagan). It was enlightening to know about the state government's efforts for on-ground implementation using IT tools and charting out every minute detail for process improvement. I am sure this collaborative approach with farmers shall improve the quality of their produce. @qualitycouncilofindia shall be happy to support other states as well to join this initiative for farmers' benefit. The IndG.A.P. can bolster the ‘Farm in India’ economy by leveraging the documentation maintained by AP Govt. through cluster development.
