Remembering Frank Lloyd Wright... Frank Lloyed Wright (8 June, 1867 – 9 April, 1959) was an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator, who designed more than 1,000 structures. He believed in designing structures that were in harmony with humanity and its environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture. His philosophy of organic architecture was best exemplified by Fallingwater. After its completion, Time called Fallingwater, FLW's "most beautiful job," and it is listed among Smithsonian's "Life List of 28 places to visit before you die." The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966. In 1991, members of the American Institute of Architects named Fallingwater the "best all-time work of American architecture" and in 2007, it was ranked 29th on the list of America's Favorite Architecture, according to the AIA.
