The Indian cricket team, a microcosm of India's rich diversity, stands as a representative of a sixth of the world's population. From the bustling city of Mumbai comes Rohit Sharma, while Shreyas Iyer, with roots in Kerala, proudly hails from Maharashtra. K L Rahul, a Mangalorean, shares the team with Hardik Pandya, a proud Gujarati. Surya Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav bring the essence of Uttar Pradesh to the squad. R Ashwin epitomizes Tamil Nadu, while Gujarat claims Ravindra Jadeja. Mohammed Siraj represents Telangana, and Mohammad Shami is from Uttar Pradesh. Virat Kohli adds the Delhi flair, while Shubhman Gill represents Punjab, and Bumrah is a Ramgarhia Sikh from Gujarat.
