In a historic first for India, a foreign university has announced a full-fledged campus on Indian soil. “University of Wollongong” is all set to open their international campus at Savvy Pragya-2 at GIFT City, the first and the only operational smart city in India. At Savvy Group, we feel honoured to have witnessed the Iconic Event of “University of Wollongong India Campus Vision” in the esteemed presence of Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mr Jason Clare, Hon'ble Minister of Education, Government, Australia, Mr Hasmukh Adhia, Chairman, GIFT, Mr Tapan Ray, MD & Group CEO, GIFT, and H.E. Since the beginning of my tenure as Chairperson QCI, I always felt that I had been given the responsibility to bring changes on ground and touch the lives of Indian citizens. Today, I feel humbled that one of my dearest endeavours to connect with villages has gotten wings. The Sarpanch Samvaad app was launched by His Excellency, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam in Guwahati in the presence of 30+ Sarpanchs from different parts of country. I am glad to share that QCI's IndG.A.P. initiative was launched today for the state of Andhra Pradesh in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of the state, Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy (@ysjagan). It was enlightening to know about the state government's efforts for on-ground implementation using IT tools and charting out every minute detail for process improvement. I am sure this collaborative approach with farmers shall improve the quality of their produce. @qualitycouncilofindia shall be happy to support other states as well to join this initiative for farmers' benefit. The IndG.A.P. can bolster the ‘Farm in India’ economy by leveraging the documentation maintained by AP Govt. through cluster development. 10 years ago, I visited Punsari village in Gujarat. It was led by Shri @himanshupunsari, the then sarpanch. Under his leadership, the place transformed into one of the finest villages in India, a model village that excels in every way. After ensuring basic amenities, he went a step further to provide internet, CCTV surveillance, renewable energy plant in the village, elements that are generally envisioned in a modern, smart city. Shri Himanshu has been the real quality champion at grassroot level. I am elated to welcome him as a co-opted member of @QualityCouncilofindia's Governing Body. With his guidance and inputs, QCI will take the quality movement to villages, which will ultimately help realise Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi's vision of developed nation in real sense #Gujarat #india #leadership

#QualityLeaders Indian villages have a different soul. The people here, the emotions, the amity here feels genuine and lively. Met Shri @himanshupunsari, former Sarpanch of Pansuri village in Gujarat and Shri Dilip Tripathi, Sarpanch of Hasudi Ausanpur one of the first Indian villages ( mistakenly refered to as last villages by many) on the Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh. They have built the modern ideal villages that have all the amenities required for a good standard of life. Be it education, sports, recreation, public spaces, utilities, hygiene, vocational training, every aspect has been curated with a deep understanding of public life and futuristic vision.
